Matt was calling us after a successful junior year, but with zero division 1 offers. 

He was a good lacrosse player. He made the varsity team as a freshman, winning a starter role his sophomore year, and this past year had doubled his points and ground balls to finish top 3 on the team in each.

He wasn't flashy & didn't particularly stand out, but he was the "get it done" kind of player that coaches love to have on their team – consistent producer, always reliable, with a high compete level. 

But despite all of this, he was now going into his senior year with no college commitment or even a D1 offer. 

He came with all the production, but none of the hype.

“I'm a team guy, I don't care about points or winning personal awards or anything like that… but I know that I can play division 1 lacrosse. I'm putting in the work & feel like I'm doing all the right things, but just not getting the looks.”

He clearly had the ambition – but something was missing from his game, so Coach Kyle connected with a college coach who had seen him play & asked what the deal was. 

Matt's a solid player. His coaches say his work ethic is insane. He’s super consistent. Good on-field vision. Impactful on both sides of the ball. But truthfully.. I just didn’t see the "flash" that would let his game translate to D1. The players we (and all D1 coaches) are scouting are  dynamic & quick, can blend strength & power in their game.. he's got the skill, but he’s just missing a little pop.

This was common feedback we'd heard from both men's and women's D1 coaches. The game is so much faster at the D1 level & the impactful players bring an elite level of speed and explosiveness.

So we offered to create Matt a program that would do just that. 

A program that was built specifically for the demands of lacrosse, and far different than the classic workouts he had been doing on his own or with his old school trainer in the past.

We knew if he committed to the process for 12 weeks he’d develop the physical attributes he needed to elevate his game.

  • We shifted away from just heavy lifts & instead focused on developing strength that would actually translate to the mechanics of lacrosse with full body integrated workouts. 
  • We added speed & athleticism to every workout. With plyo and power work that would develop more explosiveness to each cut, dodge, and change of direction and speed work that would refine footwork and movement mechanics. 
  • We developed functional mobility that would let him not only develop a healthy & mobile body, but also optimize his movement patterns to run faster and shoot harder. 
  • We created elite conditioning levels that would let him play at top speed without slowing down, while letting him dominate as players started to fatigue.

He committed the process and the results paid off. 

Each week he said he felt more agile. His dodges and change of direction had become explosive and elusive.  His shot started to feel smoother and more powerful. He started playing more aggressively, dynamically, and more confident. 

Finally the season came around, and his work really showed. 

He wasn’t just impactful, he was dominant. His coaches kept commenting about how this was his "breakout season", while each post-game was met by a conversation with a D1 coach. 

4 weeks into the season, he had been named player of the week twice and better yet – he had emails from over a dozen D1 coaches.

This isn’t just a classic bodybuilding style workout where you’ll see 3 sets of squats and lunges. Relentless programs are loaded with integrative exercises that challenge you with unconventional movements. 

You’ll have a Youtube Playlist with demonstrations of each exercise in that days workout so that you’ll always know exactly what to do.

What kind of equipment do I need?

This program was designed to be performed with a super basic gym setup. We don't believe in big fancy gym setups or the latest equipment.

This program includes: dumbbells, cables/bands, barbells, kettlebells, and mini-bands. For any exercise that may require a specialized piece of equipment (trapbar/landmine/etc.) we've included alternative exercises guide, but 95% of gyms will have exactly what you need.
