That was the story for one of our early clients, Zack, who had just finished his best season ever.

And, while he wasn't a flashy player, he was the type of player that team's need to win games. He was a work horse who put up solid points, was impactful on both sides of the ball, and was an absolute menace to play against.

For the past few seasons he had truly committed himself to becoming the best lacrosse player he was capable of becoming. He was doing all the right things – hours of wall ball variations, getting to the local field to work dodges & to rip hundreds of shots, and getting into the gym multiple times per week. 

And while he was clear had developed into a solid player, his game still wasn’t where he knew it could be. He had the ambition to be a D1 lacrosse player, but hadn't received any serious offers coming into his senior season.

When we met Zack, he told us that his goal was to get stronger and more powerful heading into next season.

But the truth was, this wasn't the issue.

The reality was that he, like so many lacrosse players, had developed weight room strength without developing the attributes the speed & explosiveness that truly translate to the field.

Coach Kyle connected with a Division 1 Coach who had really liked Zack's game, but shared that he just didn't have "D1 speed or pace" in his game.

We had heard this often from Coaches. Players are more skilled than ever before, but countless players are held back from taking their game Division 1 simply because Coaches/Scouts believe they can't play at the division 1 speed.

For ack, it was clear – he had to develop the explosiveness that would translate to playing faster, having more explosive dodges, and playing more dynamically.

So we created a program that would develop the specific attributes that would allow him to be a more explosive lacrosse player.

  • We shifted away from old school heavy lifts & instead focused on developing functional strength that would actually translate to the field with full body integrated workouts.
  • We added speed & athleticism to every workout. With plyo and power work that would help him to refine movements & generate more power in his stride, and speed work that would refine his footwork, change of direction, and movement mechanics.
  • We developed functional mobility that would not only let him feel and move better, but also refine his stride mechanics and let him player lower and generate more power.
  • We created elite conditioning levels that would let him play at top speed without slowing down, while letting him dominate as players started to fatigue.

He committed the process and the results paid off.

Each week he said he felt more agile. His dodges and change of direction had become explosive and elusive.  His shot started to feel smoother and more powerful. He knew he was a more dynamic playe & felt more confident to beat players with his feet.

Finally the season came around, and his work really showed.

He wasn’t just impactful, he was dominant. His coaches kept commenting about how he had transformed his game into being a "big time" player, while D1 Coaches started reaching out weekly.

By changing his training, his entire game had changed, and so had his trajectory in lacrosse.

He had earned a full ride to play Division 1 lacrosse.

It wasn't long after that, his club Coach had reached out to get some his players who needed to improve their speed on the "Zack program".

This isn’t just a classic bodybuilding style workout where you’ll see 3 sets of squats and lunges. Relentless programs are loaded with integrative exercises that challenge you with unconventional movements. 

You’ll have a Youtube Playlist with demonstrations of each exercise in that days workout so that you’ll always know exactly what to do.

What kind of equipment do I need?

This program was designed to be performed with a super basic gym setup. We don't believe in big fancy gym setups or the latest equipment.

This program includes: dumbbells, cables/bands, barbells, kettlebells, and mini-bands. For any exercise that may require a specialized piece of equipment (trapbar/landmine/etc.) we've included alternative exercises guide, but 95% of gyms will have exactly what you need.
